What we collect and where it lives
Daisy Co. is intentionally built to keep customer data off our website. Here is exactly what we collect and where it goes:
- When you create an account on this site: your name, email address, and a securely hashed (SHA-256) version of your password are stored only in your own browser's local storage on the device you used to sign up. We do not run a customer database — your account is private to your device.
- When you place an order: shipping address, billing address, phone number and payment details are entered on Stripe's secure hosted checkout page. This information never passes through our website. Stripe stores it; we view it through the Stripe dashboard for the purpose of fulfilling and supporting your order.
- What we (Daisy Co.) can see: only what Stripe shows us in the merchant dashboard (order details, shipping address, the email you gave Stripe). We cannot see passwords, and we do not download or store these details on this website.
What we do with the information we gather
We use the information from Stripe to fulfil and ship your order, respond to enquiries, and provide customer support. We may, from time to time, send you order-related or promotional emails to the address you provided at checkout — you can opt out at any time by replying to any email or contacting us at hello@daisyco.co.
Security
Because customer payment and address data is handled by Stripe (a PCI-DSS Level 1 certified payment processor), it benefits from Stripe's industry-grade security infrastructure. Our website itself does not store credit card details, shipping addresses, or phone numbers, which significantly reduces the risk of any data exposure on our side. Account passwords on this site are stored only as one-way SHA-256 hashes — they cannot be read back, even by us.
How we use cookies
A cookie is a small file which asks permission to be placed on your computer's hard drive. Once you agree, the file is added and the cookie helps analyse web traffic or lets you know when you visit a particular site. Cookies allow web applications to respond to you as an individual.
